Right To Health

Our Vision

Since the early days of human civilisation, administrating authorities have always paid special attention to public health. As time passed, modern democracies also continued to support health systems by promoting both public and private entities. However technological advancement and changes in economic policies have adversely affected the public’s access to quality and affordable health care. Today, unfortunately, healthcare has changed from a service to a business and governments have paved the path for more private entities in the health sector. This coupled with their increasing desire to exit from the sector themselves or their lack of interest in public health undertakings has resulted in a large number of people being excluded from access to a standard of medical care.

The growth of the health sector is directly proportional to Research and Development in the concerned branches of study including pharma. Research and development in the Pharma industry are the second largest in any industry in the world. In modern society, Research and Development are fully dependent upon intellectual property rights. It is a sad truth that the majority of medicines that are lifesaving and medicines for rare diseases are protected under Patents and priced exorbitantly by the patent holders. Such a scenario has deprived the masses of accessing affordable health care which is one of the most sacrosanct rights under constitutional democracies.

Our country, however, has always tried to protect affordable health care through statutes and policies. Our constitution and statutory laws have provided enormous ways to protect public health coupled with an ever-vigilant judicial oversight over them.  NNF Nyay Neeti foundation will always continue the fight to protect and carry forward the rights engraved in our constitution for a healthy society and render the same access to all citizens.
