Environmental Rights.

Our Vision

It is an indisputable fact that humanity is facing its worst challenge when it comes to the climate and the deterioration of nature. Our country is naturally not immune to these threats. Firstly, every disaster or natural calamity hits the people from the lowest strata of society the most. Due to their financial condition, marginalised communities would always choose to live in fragile and naturally sensitive places because it is such places that are affordable or easily accessible to them. Subsequently, natural disasters will wipe them out first. Our country was always rich in flora and fauna. One of the World’s environmentally richest places is our Western Ghats. Unfortunately, ill-thought-out developmental projects and human encroachment has destroyed several parts of the western ghats within a small period. The Western Ghat is just an example, there are several such environmentally rich places across the country which are now facing rapid deterioration.

Indian courts were always quite concerned about the protection of the Environment and have reiterated the importance of its protection in several judgments. India is one of the countries that has constituted special tribunals for Environment Protection and oversees the checks and balances when it comes to the economic development of society vis-à-vis the environment.

NNF Nyay Neeti Foundation is fully committed to protecting nature within the bounds of the constitution and other statutory laws. Our experienced lawyers and independent researchers always strive to be at the forefront of Environmental Protection.
