About Us
Defend The Rights Of All People Nationwide.
Nyay Neeti Foundation (NNF) is a non-profit Organization registered under section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, aiming to provide free and effective legal aid to marginalized and vulnerable communities through the existing legal system. We are a collective of lawyers who endeavour to advance the social, economic, and political rights of the citizens by seeking remedies before various Courts/Tribunals and governments; in addition, we conduct fact-findings, research, and legal awareness, and train lawyers passionate about human rights litigation. Our core areas of work will be on Women’s Rights, Child Rights, Dalit Rights, Labour Rights, Right to Housing, Right to Food, Criminal Justice, anti-trafficking, Prisoner’s Rights, Health Rights, Environment Justice, and Climate Change, amongst other things. Above all, our main goal is the empowerment of vulnerable communities by providing equitable and affordable access to the justice delivery system. We believe that the contemporary legal structure is exclusionary due to limited access. We intend to strive to fill the widening gap between the Bench and the Public. NNF will closely work with former Judges, lawyers, academicians, and public-spirited individuals who work to see a society that upholds the true spirit of the Indian Constitution and Human Rights. Currently, we are functioning in Delhi, and with your help strives to extend to other parts of the country.
Meet our Team
Organizational Structure
NNF is committed to fostering an inclusive and democratic workspace where every member feels comfortable in expressing their views and opinions regarding the daily functioning of the firm. We believe in a non-hierarchical way of functioning, therefore, all efforts will be taken to treat every member of our team as an equal having an equal say in the Organisation.
NNF strongly believes in diversity within the organization as it helps to create an environment where staff with underrepresented identities feel meaningfully included. This also benefits NNF through the exchange of different skills, life experiences and perspectives and ensures a clear understanding of the legal issues and leads to improved decision-making. People thrive and are more innovative in working environments that are free from racism, bias, and discrimination. Only such an organization will thrive as a democratic space which stands for the people’s rights.
Financial Information
The cost of litigation, Administration and other organizational activities solely depends upon the donations received from the Lawyers Community, former Judges, Public Spirited Individuals, Philanthropic Initiatives and the general public.
